Billiards Great Karen Corr "The Irish Invader"
Karen Corr dominated the Jacoby Custom Cues Mid American Ladies 9-Ball Tour over the weekend at Cue Time Billiards in Bowling Green Kentucky taking down opponents Becky Todd 7-2, Tonya Wiser 7-1, and Julie Kelly 7-0, sending Kelly to the one loss side. Corr then faced Tina Hess for the hot-seat on Sunday morning.
On the one loss side, Kelly took on Samantha Patton, defeating her with a strong 7-1 win. Kelly went on to crush Hess 7-2, setting up Kelly for a rematch with Corr in the finals.
Corr dominance was impressive in this event, losing only three games in her four matches leading her to the finals. Julie Kelly wasn't going to make it easy on Corr in the finals though, battling back and forth. Corr ultimately came out on top with a 9-5 win, forcing Kelly to settle for 2nd place.
This event was a qualifier for the WPBA Colorado Classic, with Samantha Patton winning it after placing 4th as the top amateur finisher.
