Penmaenmawr picked up their first win since bonfire night in the Gap-Personnel Thursday Snooker League with a 4-2 success at home to Crosville B.

Mike Wilson posted breaks of 34 and 32 to overcome Mike James in the opener.

Lee Booth got back to winning ways, a nice 28 break to win against Darryl Jones and Dylan Rowlands and Paul R Hughes ensured the three points. Crosville’s Anthony Moore was on top form to beat Gethin Roberts and Chris Lloyd saw off Alan Jones 53-11.

Legion A took the honors 4-2 against their B team.

Nigel Breese got the victors off to a convincing start and will see his handicap tumble as a result of beating George Bartlett, but the match between Dave Parrish and Derek Eccleston was a comedy of errors before Parrish won on a gifted black.

Mike Clarke made it 3-0 against Dave Jones but Tom Sykes pulled a frame back against Peter Duckett and Terry Lea had the comeback of the night in beating Sean Bowler on the black.

But Legion A skipper Mark Davies is on a roll at the moment and won his frame comfortably against an out of sorts Tim Williams.

Llan Cons A moved above Cricket Club B with a 4-2 home win, inflicting a third successive defeat on the visitors.

Phil Hughes converted some very good long pots in breaks of 19 and 27 and won easily against Tony Kearney and John Hancock stopped Wayne Noble’s excellent run of 14 straight wins. Rosie Williams was on form and knocked in a quality 50 break against Gwyn Morgans.

Luke O'Mahoney was cueing well for the batsmen and won on the colors against a very resilient Paul Thomas but Ian Fitton and Dave Philips ensured the victory.

Cricket A consolidated their grip at the top, although only drawing with Llan Cons B.

Martin Richardson and Ross Jones put the batsmen two-up before Alan Davidson and John Fangio Jones pulled it level. Dyfrig Thomas was the man of the match playing very well after being 40 down to come back to win on the black against Mike Noden.

But the draw was gained by Richard King who beat Loz Evans on the colors. This week leaders Cricket A have their open date knowing nobody can dislodge them and they will then have a game in hand on their rivals.

Fixtures: Cricket Club B v Penmaenmawr, Llan Cons B v Legion A, Crosville B v Crosville A, Legion B v Llan Cons A.
Important h’cap changes for this week: Nigel Breese to +21, Martin Richardson to scr, Paul Thomas to +14, Dave Philips to scr, Alan Jones to scr.
