26 Women of varying skill levels competed in the 3rd Tiger - Bay Area Amateur Tour. In the wee hours of the morning (partially thanks to the time change) Michell Monk was crowned as the winner and given $450 for all her hard work. She is a tough competitior in any field. Congratulations goes out to Leslee Davis-Blaikie for her second place finish which earned her $350 and a new handicap ranking of 8. She is officially the first 8 on the tour. Both our third place and fourth place had their best finishes so far this season. Bettina Chase played hard all day and got $250 for 3rd. Stephanie McFarlin had a great day and escaped more than one hill-hill match for a 4th place finish and $150. Melissa Morlan and newcomer Tracy McCreary came in 5th ($100) Another newcomer, Jenny Merritt came in the money at 7th in her first women's tour type tournament ever! She was joined in the 7th spot by tour operator, Stephanie Mitchell. Wendy Breton, Dee Minor, Lisa Parsons and Amanda Westerman all received presents for coming in one out of the money. Rayanne Barnes also receive a present for being the first one out of the tournament. She must have been in a hurry to go watch her boyfriend, Sparky Ferrell win the Seminole Pro Tour down the street.
Thank you to all the women who are making this tour so much fun. Everyone seems to be having a great time and winning some great money (thanks this month to Dan and Nora Lavoie at Hammerheads Billiards). Everyone has been winning great prizes too thanks to www.furycues.com , Tiger products, Billiardscoop.com, Tweeten Fibre and many other wonderful sponsors.
